List of options

The following options can be set for the quiz. For details on how to set them, please refer to this "How to set the option value".

Basic settings

These are basic settings such as question format, number of questions, randomization, and passing score.

mode master Set value (master/normal) master: "Overcome Weaknesses" in which unanswered/studying/wrong questions are given priority, and "Review" in which all questions are given priority. normal: Questions are submitted without considering the past correct/incorrect status.
layout normal When using the layout function option, "#mode:normal" must be specified. *Only in normal mode can the layout be changed to the test layout. Set value (normal/exam/exam-vertical) #layout:exam →"Exam Layout (Horizontal)": The question text is displayed on the left, and the answer choices and answer boxes are displayed on the right. #layout:exam-vertical →#layout:exam-vertical: The question text is displayed on the right, and the answer choices and answer boxes are displayed on the left.
master_count 1 Valid only in master mode (#mode:master ). Set the number of correct answers in master mode. e.g.) If you set "#master_count:1" for a question with 10 questions 1st time: 8 correct answers, 2 wrong answers → 80%
passing_score 80 Passing score. In master mode, it is the passing rate (%); in normal mode, it is the passing score (points).
question_count (None) If this option is not set, all questions will be asked.
weak_count (None) Sets the number of questions in "Overcome Weaknesses". This setting is valid only in Master mode. If #weak_count:1 is set, the number of questions in "Overcome Weaknesses" is 1.
shuffle_sections false Select whether the order in which sections are displayed should be random (true) or fixed (false). Please specify Normal mode, as questions by section are not available in Master mode.
shuffle_questions false If set to true, questions will be randomly assigned. true: Randomized questions false: The first question will be presented first.
shuffle_choices true Select whether the order in which the choices are displayed is random (true) or fixed (false). If set to false, the choices will be displayed in the same order each time for both multiple choice and multiple choice questions.
movable true On(true): You can move freely between questions. Off(false): You must start from the first question.
time_limit No time limit Sets the time limit for solving the puzzle. The unit is seconds. If set to 0, there is no time limit. Example: If set to 30 → 30 seconds If set at 90 → 1 minute and 30 seconds
time_limit_mode total You can set a time limit for the entire session or for each question. #time_limit_mode:total #time_limit_mode:question
show_seigo_count true The number of correct/incorrect answers for each question can be displayed (On/Off) during answering. On(true): Display Off(false)": Not displayed
minimum_score 0 You can set a minimum score. When "Graded by Administrator" is selected for a report or questionnaire description, if the total score is less than the set score, the grade will be returned immediately as a failure.
partial_score true The number of points per question is allocated by dividing the number of choices by the number of points per question for fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, pull-down, and combination questions, respectively. On(true): Partial points are awarded. Off(false)": No partial points
rounding_setting_of_score rounddown Specifies how to handle cases in which the number of points has a fractional decimal point. rounddown: Round down round: Round up to the nearest whole number
show_instant_result true You can set the display of correct or incorrect answers for each question. If "false" is specified, all questions will be scored together instead of scoring and displaying the result for each question.
hide_mark_button false You can hide the scoring button. If true, all questions will be scored at once instead of scoring and displaying the result for each question. It works in combination with #show_instant_result:false.
allow_submission_without_answer false You can set whether or not to allow submissions when no answer is given. On(true): Allow submission Off(false): Do not allow submission
tag_visible true You can show/hide section tags and question tags. On(true): Show Off(false): Hide
show_correct_answer true You can set the display/non-display of correct answers in case of wrong answers. Off(false)" is recommended when you want to hide the correct answer or when the image is included in the answer choice and it is beyond the explanation field. On(true): Show Off(false)" : Hide
answer_display follow_question_statement You can set the display position of the answer column. Follow question statement (follow_question_statement): The answer field follows the question statement. Follow the question statement (follow_question_statement): The answer field will follow the question statement. However, if the question text is long, it will be displayed at the end of the screen regardless of the setting. This setting applies to the normal layout and the exam layout (portrait).
suspendable true_resume The "#mode:normal" must be specified for the suspend and resume function. true: When resuming, you can select "resume from the beginning" or "start over from the beginning". true_resume: Only "resume from the beginning" can be selected. (It is not possible to start over from the beginning.) If you change the option value from [ON] to [OFF] after the quiz is suspended, the learner will not be able to suspend the quiz from the next time onward. Please be careful when changing the value.
suspendable_count (UNLIMITED) This function can be used together when the suspend and resume function is used. Therefore, "#mode:normal" and "#suspendable:true" must be specified. This can be set from 1 to 99 times. If not entered or 0, it will be unlimited. Example: If #suspendable_count:1 is set, the interruption will be resumed once.
show_suspendable_button true This function can be used together when the suspend and resume function is used. Therefore, "#mode:normal" and "#suspendable:true" must be specified. Setting this option allows you to choose whether or not to display the [Suspend] button on the answer screen. #show_suspendable_button: true → [Suspendable] button is shown #show_suspendable_button: false → [Suspend] button is not shown
pass false I don't know" will be added to the choices for the first choice question, choice (quick), and multiple choice. true: "I don't know" is displayed. false: "I don't know" is hidden
skip_intro_page false You can set the intro screen skip. #skip_intro_page:true → Hide #skip_intro_page:false → Show
autoplay false You can set automatic playback of the voice created by the text-to-speech function when displaying questions. true: Auto play false: No autoplay
background_audio_playback true You can set background playback of audio. true: audio is played in the background false: Audio is not played in the background Background playback is "a method of playing videos and music even when you are operating another application or the home screen.
font-size You can specify the font size. Be sure to specify units such as px.
restartable true You can set whether to show/hide the "Return to previous screen" button on the results screen. true: "Return to previous screen" button is displayed. false: "Return to previous screen" button is not displayed.
display_results_at_start false You can set to resume from the quiz results screen. true: Can be resumed false: Cannot be resumed
show_answers_so_far false You can set to display answered in master mode. true:show false: Not displayed
show_a_look_back false You can set to show/hide the result screen after clearing. true:show false: Hide
hide_list_button false You can set whether to show or hide the list of questions page. true:Non-display false:show
trim true Ignores leading and trailing whitespace characters (e.g., spaces) when determining correctness in essay questions. If false is specified, the answer will be correct only if it is an exact match, including the presence of spaces.
ignore_case true Ignores case when determining correctness of essay questions. If false, case sensitivity is used to determine correctness of written questions.
ignore_zenhan true Allows you to grade short answer questions without distinguishing between full-width and half-width characters. true: ignore false: Do not ignore
ignore_whitespace_count true Ignores differences in the number of white spaces (e.g., spaces) when judging the correctness of a Short Answer question (1, 2 or more in a row is correct, and 0 is incorrect). true: ignore false: Do not ignore If false is specified, the correct answer is given only when the number of spaces, etc., match perfectly.
ignore_whitespace false You can set to ignore whitespace in the description question. true: ignore false: do not ignore
lang ja en → Switches to English. vi → Switches to Vietnamese. If not specified, Japanese is used. Only the player is switched, not the questions.
hide_result_summary false Display of the summary section of the results screen. true: hidden false: Display If true is specified, the summary section of the results screen will not be displayed.
hide_result_detail false Display of the detail section of the result screen. true: hidden false: Display If true is specified, the detail section of the results screen will not be displayed.
sound false Specifies whether or not sound effects are available. true: Yes false:No If "true" is specified, a sound effect will be played.
use_number_type_for_input true If a numerical value is specified for a correct answer in the "Description", "Description+", and "Multiple Descriptions" fields, the answer input field can be set to be only for numerical values. true: Numerical values only false: Text input allowed If true, only numbers can be entered if the answer is a number in a Short Answer question.
fill_in_max_length This function can be used when the question format uses short answer questions or multiple choice questions. If you do not want an unlimited number of characters to be entered, please specify "auto". If you want to automatically adjust the number of characters to the number of correct answers, please specify "auto". The above option "use_number_type_for_input" must be set to "true" to enable this function.
question_container_width normal The screen width of the question screen can be set. The screen width can be selected from three options: "Normal", "Full Screen", and "Selective", which allows you to choose between normal and full screen display.

message-related item

You can customize the message that is displayed when you answer correctly, incorrectly, pass, or fail.

messages_failed_title Unfortunately, it is unsuccessful. You can set a title to be displayed at the top of the screen in the event of a rejection on the results screen. #messages_failed_title: (text to be displayed)
messages_failed_body Please review and re-work any problems you got wrong. You can set the message to be displayed at the top of the screen (under the title) in case of failure in the results screen. #messages_failed_body: (text to be displayed)
messages_waiting_for_grading_title Accepted. You can set a title to be displayed at the top of the screen when a question is waiting to be scored on the results screen. *If there are any questions waiting for grading, this title will be given priority. #messages_waiting_for_grading_title: (text to be displayed)
messages_waiting_for_grading_body Please wait a moment for grading. You can set a message to be displayed at the top of the screen (below the title) when a question is waiting to be graded on the results screen. *If there are any questions waiting for grading, this message will take precedence. #messages_waiting_for_grading_body: (text to be displayed)
messages_correct Correct! You can set the message for correct answers. #messages_correct: (text to be displayed)
messages_incorrect incorrect You can set the message for correct answers. #messages_incorrect: (text to be displayed)
messages_not_selected Please select an answer You can set a warning message if you try to submit a multiple choice or multiple choice question without selecting a choice. #messages_not_selected: (text to be displayed)
messages_not_filled Please enter your answer This is a warning message when an attempt is made to submit a written question without writing the answer. #messages_not_filled: (text to be displayed)

The following settings are used to change the design of the quiz player and the wording in the system.

SCORM related items

These are the settings to use when using LMS as SCORM materials. In most cases, the default settings are fine. item name default value Description. id_prefix q The first character string of the question ID to be sent to the LMS when used as a SCORM teaching material. id_digits 3 The number of digits in the question ID sent to the LMS when used as a SCORM teaching material. finish_at_result_page true true: Send the results at the same time the results are displayed. false: The results are sent when the player unloads the game. Implemented since 1.0.1
