MCQ (button)

The first line, #question_count:10, is the number of questions to be submitted. If this is not specified, all questions will be submitted. The second line is the message that will be displayed before the quiz starts, and the third and the following lines are the definitions, which are made up of several blocks of blank lines. The first line contains the question sentence, "button:" in the second line, correct answer choice in the third line and the fourth and following lines containing the wrong answer choices.

In the following example, the first question is "Choose the capital city of Japan." The correct answer is "Tokyo," and the wrong choices are "Osaka," "Kobe," and "Kyoto."

Commentary settings in a text format

Commentary can be displayed in response to member's answers. There are three ways to set commentaries.

• (1) Uniform Commentary
• (2) Description for correctness
• (3) Description for each choice

(1) Uniform Commentary

If you write a sentence at the end of the first choice separated by "|", it will be shown as an commentary after answering.

(2) Description for correctness

If you write sentences separated by "|" at the end of the first and second choice, the first sentence will be displayed as a commentary when you answer correctly, and the second one will be displayed when choosing an incorrect answer.

To create questions in tabular format, write "#format:table" at the beginning of the file. 1 question corresponds to 1 line. Each row contains a tab-delimited list of questions, "button:", correct and incorrect answers.

In the first question of the following example, the problem text is "Hokkaido", the correct answer is "Sapporo", and the incorrect answers are "Hakodate", "Obihiro" and "Tomakomai".

Description settings

You can specify the commentary in the same way as for the text format in the table format.

1. Click on "Manage contents" on the sidebar or "Contents" on the Dashboard.

 

2. Click on the "+" button on "Manage contents" → "Course" → Save
Select the course → "Content" → "Quiz/exam" → "Create quiz"

 

3. Enter the title on the Quiz/exam creation form.

 

4. Click on "Edit quiz."

 

5. Set the question format to Selective Question Quick.

 

6. Type a quiz sentence, a correct answer and wrong answers. Click on the "+" button to add another choice, or the "-" button to delete a choice.

Select the correct or wrong answer as shown in the red frame in the image below. (You can freely choose the order of the choices, instead of the correct answer at the top.)

If you need explanations, you can write them, and you can also check them by clicking the Preview button when all descriptions are completed. If there is no problem, click Save.

 

7. Click on the + button to add a question, or the - button to delete a question. Confirm the content and click on "Publish" to save it.
